Shows how improbable Evolution is,
This review is from: Darwin's Black Box: Biochemical Challenge to Evolution (Paperback)This book was useful to me as I can now use the phrases, "irreducible complexity" and, "specified complexity" in an argument. Apart from that, there wasn't much good that came from reading this book.
Behe's position is that Evolution has occured and is the reason everything exists the way it does - but claims that some element of Design had to be present for Evolution to work. Therefore this book is an absolute blessing for Theistic Evolutionists but for those who find the Theistic Evolutionist position unconvincing and more importantly, unscriptural,it is an unhelpful book.
Theistic Evolution is limp as it really is God-of-the-gaps stuff. Evolution happened but for these few examples, God intervened? This is entirely unscriptural and aside from that it's just an illogical position.
Overall, an OK contributor to the Origins debate.
