MISTifying....that anyone would make this trash,
This review is from: The Mist [DVD] (DVD)
This film is completely bizarre. A bunch of small town folks holed up in a supermarket while something unspeakable surrounds them. Unfortunately the dialogue is also unspeakable, so the likes of Marcia Gay Harden struggle with their ridiculous roles. The supporting actors and extras have been appallingly directed, spending the majority of the running time standing still and looking confused. But the biggest misjudgement is the pointlessly depressing ending, which achieves nothing apart from rendering the lead character completely idiotic.

OMG!!! Another thicko who didn't get the film!! :)
I will say it one more time for those who simply don't get it and keep knocking the films so called bad CGi and bad monsters and acting etc.
I will make it VERY clear for your poor little heads to understand!!
"THE FILM WAS FILMED IN THE STYLE OF A 70s B-MOVIE AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK THE WAY IT DOES"
Please take the time to let your brain cell take in that information.
................and relax! :)

jason crawford says:
hat off to you, couldn't have put it better myself. The director even brought out a 2 disc black & white version to add to the 40/50s B movie feel so the hints were always there. :-)

Of course!! I should've realised!! The highly acclaimed director Frank Darabont WANTED to make a film with really substandard acting and a bad script. Now it all makes sense. It was wholly intentional. If you really want to come face to face with a "thicko" as you call it, get a frigging hand mirror.

I have to disagree with Secondalibi (and sidekick Mr Crawford)
But I wont use capitals. It sort of neutralises any credibility that you may have had.
The Mist is a complete mess from beginning to end; failing in every department and that includes the '....filmed in the style of a 70's B-movie...' category.
