I have used Fudge Hair Shaper for around 10 years - the three I received last week are different so either these are not actual Fudge or they changed the formula?
Fudge is soft - the ones I have received are hard and waxy, it is white whereas Fudge was not and Fudge smelt nice - this doesn't smell of anything.
So are these duds or have they changed the formula?

I ordered 2 at the end of march, i have been thinking the same thing, the product has changed. This fudge is very hard and waxy, not like it used to be. its like a totally different product when putting it in your hair, won't be buying again of here as this isn't the fudge i'm after.

Yep, seems completely different - bought recently from two different places, but the hair shaper product is still completely different to what it was - waxy, white, virtually odourless and doesn't have the hold it used to have.

I have found these 'duff' ones we have received have a 'pz cussons beauty ' as the address on the side, and the normal ones have a different address starting with 'Sabre Corporation' . it seems PZ cussons has brought Fudge in 2012 and have since changed the formula but kept the same packaging. the answer to this is if you like the old, make sure you buy as many as you can with 'Sabre corporation ' as the address on the tub, before all this new stock takes over the old and we will be stuck with the bad formula . hope this helps .

Good point, you're right. Thing is getting hold of the original Sabre Corporation stuff. Do you know of any sellers that have the older stock, please?

Luckily the place next door from where i work is a hair dressers products distribution company so for me i went around and chose the 'sabre corporation' ones from the shelf, and brought 10 of them! they even had the 'duff' 'pz cussons' ones on the shelf so its showing the new stock is coming through. your best bet is any hair dressers that you can go in and pick your own. that way you dont waste the 7 or 8 pound on a duff one as lets face it, its not the cheapest hair product going !
Shame its all this hassle hey! bottom line is why change the formula???

Thanks - this is the most helpful comment. The original was a great product. This new hard waxy white version is awful.
I just spent 30 mins trying to work out (a) whether there were two different products with near identical branding or (b) if there were fakes beings sold on Amazon, but it seems there has been a change in the formula. Very odd behaviour given this was Fudge's best seller.

I'm glad I read this. I thought I'd been sold a fake. Does anyone know of an alternative?

I confirm that the Fudge Hair Shaper Product has changed. UPC changed from 667451902019 to 5060056486444. Formula is completely different. See my rant on Fudge's facebook page and spread the word.
