Good but not that good,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bosch TDA5070GB Steam Iron, 0.3 Litre, 3050 Watt - Black and Red (Kitchen & Home)
I bought this to replace an aged Rowenta iron which has served the household faithfully for about 15 years. I reasoned that steam iron technology must nave advanced somewhat over this period. But now I am not so sure.
The Bosch doesn't do anything badly, but after using it for a month or so I can't claim that it does anything any better than the old Rowenta, apart from being more convenient to fill, which it needs to be in view of the large amount of water it drinks! It is significantly larger, heavier and clumsier to wield, certainly no easier to push. It does a reasonably good crease-removing job (alas not helped by the fact that the articles it irons come from a combined washer-dryer!), but again no better than the iron it replaces.
I am pleased to say there has been absolutely no problem with water dripping on clothes, ironing board, carpet or feet. I think the user who complained so bitterly about this must have been cursed with a very faulty specimen, or must have grossly overfilled it.
So I can't complain much about the Bosch, but can't enthuse too much either, because for the same result my ironing sessions (so far) seem to take about 20% longer than they used to do. Practice may help, I have given it four stars because I can't give three and a half.
