Exposed now with images!,
This review is from: Mike Oldfield: Exposed [DVD] (DVD)
After many years of waiting we can now experience the Exposed album with video and highly enjoyable it is too if you like Mike Oldfield. Bear in mind though that this is 1979 so there are long hair and moustaches in evidence (and there's a couple in the front row who look like Jeey and Margo Leadbetter!). The lighting on stage is a bit dark (not quite up to modern day standards) but the sound is of a high standard throughout.
The DVD starts with some short interviews of the musicians and Sally Arnold (a girlfriend of Mike's and the tour manager at the time) before the show proper begins with an accurate version of Incantations. The second disc however contains the better performance (I think) with a particularly rousing version of Tubular Bells and Guilty (everyone on stage seems to be enjoying themselves and good to see Mike fooling around at times too).
A bit of a period piece perhaps but it is lovely to see the Exposed show at last. A definite must for fans of Mike Oldfield.
