Sweet summery fragrance,
This review is from: The Body Shop Love Etc Eau De Parfum 50ml (Misc.)
Spraying it on, I’m hit immediately by a burst of fruity flavour from the top note of pears, combined with the zingy florals of neroli and bergamot. After a few minutes, Love Etc… settles down into a mellow, smooth scent that is both floral and sensual, combining three of my all-time favourite florals – the fresh scent of lily of the valley, the delicious odour of heliotrope, and the seductive fragrance of jasmine. Love Etc… is young, fresh and summery – but not too light – and there’s an undertone of creamy sensuousness with just a hint of woody spices – the result of a combination of three of my favourite perfume base notes; creamy and sweet vanilla, spicy sandalwood, and hypnotic musk. A couple of hours later the scent has largely dissipated, leaving a lingering hint of sugary sweetness almost good enough to eat, a blend of the heliotrope and vanilla.
With six of my favourite perfume components filling out and blended together in the base notes and heart notes, Love Etc… is a hit with me, and the pear, bergamot and neroli give the scent its initial fruity tang. My only complaints are that it isn’t very long lasting, and the battle between sweet and sensuous is eventually won out by the sweet afterscent, and I prefer something which has a more lasting and sensual flavour. Otherwise, this scent is very me.
