3.0 out of 5 stars Liftoff and button problems, disappointed., 9 Dec 2012

This review is from: Razer Deathadder Re-Spawn 3500DPI Gaming Mouse (Accessory)
This mouse looks great, the fully illuminated scroll wheel looks nice as well as the glowing Razer logo however:

For an infrared sensor I did not expect such a bad lift off distance, the aim moves considerably during FPS games when lifting the mouse. Also when playing Enemy Territory FPS game, you are meant to be able to shoot akimbo pistols faster than the default rate (holding your mouse button down), by spam clicking the left mouse button. This was far from the case, the mouse failed to register at random times - my Logitech G9 which has to be over 4 years old has never failed. Not only this in the middle of combat, there were times the mouse thought I had released the button when I was still holding onto it. If you unplug the mouse and plug it back in, the mouse glitches and flashes every few seconds and becomes unusable until you end the razerhid.exe process from the task manager...

I really wanted to love this mouse but finding problems within 1 hour of using it really disappointed me. Sadly it's not the first mouse I've had recently which has had problems.

Razer Mamba 4G 2012 - great on-board memory, but with software installed the sensitivity buttons opened random programs and interfered with the Alienware On-Screen display.

Razer Ouroboros x2 - first one had broken parts in it when it arrived. Second one had a poor response when down scrolling compared to scrolling up, and the fact it had no on-board memory meant the sensitivity settings went weird every time I rebooted my computer, until the silly new software Synapse 2.0 finally loads. PLEASE KEEP ON-BOARD MEMORY IN YOUR PRODUCTS RAZER, A MASSIVE PLUS FOR COMPATIBILITY.

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 9 - the best wireless I've had yet, but the mouse design makes it very heavy even without the weights in, and I get the same down scrolling problem as the Ouroboros. Very adjustable and they provide you two batteries to have on charging whilst one in use. Would have liked the normal left/right click buttons to be more sensitive like the Ouroboros and Mamba 4G 2012.
