Kaspersky anti-virus - a bit slow to set up,
This review is from: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 (3 PC, 1 Year subscriptions) (PC) (CD-ROM)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
First of all we installed it on the laptop. We uninstalled the existing software ourselves first (Norton) before loading the new disc. No problems at all, the disc started automatically, and installed without a hitch.
Next I did my desktop. The disc did not run automatically so I had to run it myself. It told me it had 1m 43 sec to go but froze for a good few minutes. Could be my PC but it's the first time I've had any such problem!
I didn't uninstall any existing software (I had both McAfee and Norton previously which were still lurking somewhere) and it told me that Kaspersky was not compatible with various items (including a Windows programme which I thought odd?) and asked my approval to remove them. It would not let me click on next until I had - and annoyingly I have asked it to uninstall one part of Norton several times and it still won't let me go past Next even though it tells me it has been removed successfully! Very annoying. I couldn't find it on my system to uninstall it myself so had to Skip that stage (thankfully it had this option otherwise I'd be stuck!) at which point it warned me about keeping incompatible software on my computer.
Eventually I got to the restart stage and now all seems to be running smoothly.
I can only assume it is working as it should and that "no news is good news"!
