When I read the news that Hanoi Rocks were breaking up for a 2nd time I was absolutely gutted. I loved 12 Shots, Another Hostile Takeover and Street Poetry. But I soon consoled myself with the news that Michael would continue to release music with a new band. I didn't however, expect him to assemble such a talented group of musicians! My expectations for the album went through the roof, and I became a little wary that I might be let down... But it wasn't to be! The album is absolutely fantastic! There is not one bad track on here! The songs are quite varied: from balls out rockers (Bombs Away, Debauchery As A Fine Art, Modern Day Miracle), to punkier numbers(Trick Of The Wrist, 78, Got Blood?), to the country ballad (Gone Baby Gone) and the soft rock of (All You Need and Superpowered Superfly). Ginger Wildheart's songwriting presence on the album is easily recogniseable, as a number of the tracks have his trademark harmonised choruses. The only track on the album that I felt didn't quite make the mark was "Centre Of Your Heart". It's still by no means a bad track, just not quite up to the same level of quality as the rest of the album.
The bonus tracks on this european deluxe version of the album are both fantastic in my opinion. "Another Night In The Sun" is a fantastic rocker and "You're Next" is likewise.
If you're a fan of Hanoi Rocks, The Wildhearts or just bloody good, straight up, no frills Rock N' Roll, then do yourself a favour and buy this one!
