A soundtrack album which makes sense,
This review is from: Transamerica (Audio CD)
The music is Americana mainly by post 60s artists.I note from the reviews on U S Amazon that some songs are missing but if these were Mexican ones its no great loss
The song by Heather Myles-You're gonna love me one day-is very close to Gordon Lightfoot's If you should change your mind
Many of the songs are traditional including Stephen Foster's Beautiful Dreamer heard twice first by one Graham Greene (who I assume is not the famous author) and an instrumental version by the MD David Mansfield
Not having seen the film I don't know how Miriam Makeba could fit in but the South African singer has the first song.
The Dolly Parton song has not been on any of her albums and is not far away from Two Doors Down
