This review is from: Avatar [DVD] (DVD)Unoriginal,predictable,stereotypical...need I go on??
This is a bad, bad, bad movie and I'm mighty glad it didn't win an oscar! Plus, the 3D factor doesn't add anything to the storytelling,it is merely straining for the eyes.
The character of Jake is moronic. The Grace/Na'vi design is ugly. The two extra legs on the horse and wolf-like creatures are useless.
The soundtrack is like listeing to the soundtrack of Willow and Titanic and Troy(which means listening to Willow..)
The message of this story has been told since decades, and we have never been listening so why should we now?
People who find this a good movie haven't seen or read much in the world of fiction..alas!

So this is a review of a Blu-Ray you cannot possibly have seen. Why would I or anyone else be interested in your opinions?

What is it with all these OAPs getting eye-strain looking at 3d? Perhaps you should stick to your old vhs tapes.

I have read widely in the genre of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. 3-D is a fantastic extra layer of excapism into films such as this. Yes, it is a love story at its core, but it is dressed in such rich and engrossing graphics, wondrous imaginative settings of the planet Pandora (which is heavily suggested as a moon to a Jupiter-like planet, an idea that excites anyone with half of an imagination about other inhabited planets), that I fail to see why anyone who has seen this at the cinema can have found it a bad film to watch.
I do not personally know what the blu-ray version is going to be like, but I am expecting good things.
