Beautiful knits for babies,
This review is from: Baby Bloom: 20 Irresistible Knitting Projects for Modern-day Mothers and Babies (Paperback)
I hadn't knitted anything for 20 yrs or so, but bought this in anticipation of my first grandchild's arrival. It's a lovely book, and I have enjoyed making all the things I knitted. The tiny tweedy cardigans in jewel-like colours are lovely (even though you need to hand wash them), but my favourite is definitely the pixie hat - I have been asked for a new one now my grandson has grown out of his first two. It's true that the book has few instructions for beginners, but I bought it along with Debbie Bliss's 'baby knits for beginners' which provided some useful reminders about things I had forgotten - however, I didn't have any problems with anything I tried. It's an inspirational book, particularly the baby items, which are quirky enough to be cute, but classic enough not to date too quickly.
