Good introduction to Gangland culture,
This review is from: Gangs: A Journey into the Heart of the British Underworld (Paperback)
As an introduction to Gangs this is a great book, but it does tend to be very general. There are chapters on each of the major gangs in the UK, so the author doesnt go quite as in depth as I would have liked, but gives an introduction to each. He meets with some of the players in each gang and gets their perspective, but because each gang only has a limited number of pages you are given only an overview of each - reminded me a bit of the Ross Kemp on Gangs TV program.
By no means a detailed analysis of any particular gang, but very well written. A very good read, not sensationalised in any way - only scrapes the surface of the subject but in a good way - will leave you wanting to find out more
