Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: GEM Camera Case for Nikon D300S, D3000, D3100 (Camera)
I got this for my Nikon D3000 and overall I am pretty happy with it. It is worth noting here that it is not a dedicated case for that camera however - a quick search of "Gem Camera Case" on amazon will show this being cheekily marketed for many other brands and models.
That said, the D3000 and standard 18-55mm VR lens fit in nicely and with room to spare. It is also fine with the 55-200mm fitted but it would not carry both. There is a handy zip pocket at the front for lens caps, spare battery etc and additional webbing pockets around the outside but I wouldn't put anything too valuable in those. The main compartment has two zippers and getting the camera in and out is a pretty quick and painless affair. It has a movable compartment divider for you to adjust the interior also. The strap (approx 2.5cm wide) is nice and long with metal fixtures so should stand up to a fair amount of abuse. It fits over my 6ft frame (in big coat) fine and has some padding too although this tore off after a few months use.
For the money this is a decent case but I would categorize it more "family holiday" than "professional". Not the most rugged or made-to-measure but for general use it is a pretty good buy.
