This review is from: The Emperor's Irish Slaves: Prisoners of the Japanese During the Second World War (Kindle Edition)
A truly harrowing but eye opening read. It's hard to fathom just how cruel the Japanese were during WWII. A must read. Disturbing. Had to put it down several times but had to finish it as a tribute and acknowledgement of what happened to not only my fellow Irish men and women, but all those who had the misfortune to fall into the hands of their Japanese captors.
