Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Nero 9 (PC CD) (CD-ROM)
i would not bother with this!!!!
i bought nero 9 from their website and paid for a disc too.
now i regret it because of a few things.
1: it is exactly the same as nero 8 only nero showtime has a different look.
2: it does not add nero to your pc's autoplay features like the other nero's do so when you insert a dvd etc, your choice box comes up and nero is not there as it doesn't install it. i tried the typical installment and the custom install to try to sort this out but it just was not there.
3: it takes approx half hour to install and uninstall just to give you missing features.
4: there are no template packs but nero doesn't tell you this until after you bought it. they are still working on them now so when i bought this, creating a music dvd with 3d menu's went straight out the window as i have to wait until the templates are released before i can create my disc. bit pointless really as i paid for it and it's just sitting there.
5: when you goto updates at the control centre you will see that the in cd feature is also missing. if you goto the website to install it seperatly it will give it to you for nero 8.
do not waste your time and money on this and just stick with nero 8 or 7 as they are better than this

Mr. J. M. Skupham says:
J. dalton "jdtw13" you are totally wrong, I am familiar with Nero8, but does it do blu-ray, I dont think so! The vision program, which is my second fav part of nero, is far easier to use (user friendly), the menus and sounds are far more editable with tonnes more options, you can make professional looking dvds (provided you can make the graphics well enough, but thats not a nero thing, lol) it is fully compatable with dual audio videos, which nero 8 wasnt. now I have already prooved that you are wrong, and only explained 1 program, and a FEW of the new/updated features + you are a fool for buying from nero, cuzz they are 20pounds UK more expensive, than good old amazon. :)
Next time you write a review, atleast learn the program/item, before opening your mouth.
Thank you :)
