This review is from: RoC Retin-Ox Wrinkle Filler 30ml (Personal Care)
RoC is a well established brand that produces hypo-allergenic skin care (and on occasion make-up and body care).
It is a highly respected brand - particularly in France where it hails - and is owned by Johnson and Johnson.
I remember RoC back in the early nineties before it was available in Boots and other pharmacies in the UK and I remember that it was very good and always recommended for people with skin sensitivities.
I wouldn't like to imply that the brand changed for the worse when Johnson and Johnson won the bidding war with Christian Dior and it was no longer so exclusive - but it did change markedly.
This is product is a case in point.
It looks like it could have potential but it does not really deliver. It has a slight chemical smell and a thin consistency. There was no discernible improvement in the look or feel of the skin but it was pleasant to use.
This is a disappointment from RoC which is regarded as a prestige brand even though it rubs shoulders with drugstore brands.
Although RoC is meant to be geared at sensitive skins some of its ingredients are aggressive and potentially irritating - which is a shame. And there are quite a few chemicals in there.
I do hope RoC can return to its innovative roots some day.
