Exactly? Well, they could have shown on the website how small they are - say, by putting a tape measure in the photo, or mentioning it in the blurb (which as of today there isn't anything). Don't get me wrong everyone, I wasn't expecting big for this price! But maybe something more like an inch across instead of little over half that. So be warned potential buyers. My three ranged from just under half an inch for the smallest to maybe 2/3rds of an inch for the biggest.
But yes, not a bad starter piece and my three (from Geofossils via Amazon Marketplace) each came in it's own little zip-lock mini-bag and each with it's own colour information leaflet about various fossil types (including a pic and para on the black ammonite), which I think is a nice touch, so a good buy. But they really ought to show exactly how small they are.
