Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Sandman Omnibus Volume 1 HC (Hardcover)
On the lookout for complete Sandman collections, I was undecided about buying the slip-cased paperback boxset or the premium Absolute editions, but then I realised that for less money (a LOT less in the case of the Absolutes) I could actually get these leather-bound omnibus beasts. I think it's safe to say that I made the right choice!
The two volumes are heavy but pleasingly so, both beautiful to look at and hold: genuinely admirable books that, content aside, are works of art in themselves. You'll really feel as though your money was spent on something substantial that will last, hopefully, for a lifetime.
The comics? Well, of course they're great. Enough said.
Get them before they sell out - or you'll regret it!

Mr. R. Clark says:
Hi, i read your review and just wanted some clarification for a sandman newbie. I understand there were 75 comics and this contains half are the 75 comics divided up into 10 graphic novels because i am wanting the complete story and am deciding between the slip case and this and i don't understand the point or cost of the absolute versions. Any help would be appreciated

try to make a simulation like you were going to buy this book on amazon, but in the end you wonīt make buy it now option, I always do that to see the currency and costs, I believe itīll be much better for you to purchase the trades in the slip case, at least you donīt have to waste a lot of money in something that you donīt know, I used to have the trades but I sold them out because of these twin beauties!!! but the slip case with 10 trades are not bad at all, believe me!!!
