This review is from: The Lost King of France (Paperback)
It took me years to get hold of this book, after my long wait I was not disappointed. I've read a lot of history books but none has ever made me cry as this one did. I know very little about the French Revolution bar reading Antonia Fraser's Marie Antoinette, which I also recommend.I was utterly horrified by the treatment the young Prince/King received and just thinking about how his heart was kept in tact can bring me to tears. It's amazing the things dna science can do, it would be fascinating to see it applied to more of history's mysteries.
