A beautiful informative book,
This review is from: The Usborne Introduction to The Second World War: Internet-linked (Hardcover)
The book contains lavish photographs and clear text, going through all the events of the Second World War, and is ideal for teenagers.
Perhaps it could have done with one or two more maps. Another drawback is a slight political bias: the introduction refers to Hitler and Mussolini's flaws and labels them 'right wing'. When the drawbacks of Stalin and the Soviet Union are mentioned the phrase 'left wing' never occurs. Why was that?
But those are slight quibbles and I shall certainly go through this book with my children.
