Some flaws, but you'll still love it,
This review is from: Need for Speed Underground (PC) (Video Game)
I've been playing this game (PC version) for about a week now and overall impressions are very good. The graphics are great and portray that "neon night in the city" atmosphere very well, and the car handling is fairly realistic and easy to get to grips with. The racing is certainly fast, furious, and addictive and the tracks have enough variety to make them interesting, with jumps, shortcuts, and scenery changes evoking the different neighbourhoods of the city, and you'll want to keep going to get different upgrades for your car! Only a few negatives; the lack of collision damage can get a bit silly as you plough head-on into an oncoming truck at 180 mph, roll five times, and then just keep going; and the upgrade system is very structured, in that even if you have the cash, specific upgrades and visuals are locked down until you win the next stage of races. Anyway, in total, it's still a great game - buy it and you won't be disappointed!
