1.0 out of 5 stars Do not use this company, 5 April 2014
This review is from: Water Babies [DVD] [1978] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Passion flix UK. Advertising on the Amazon UK site. Sent me a DVD that turns out to be only readable by north American DVD players. This caused much disappointment as the film was a reward for one of my kids and she was so looking forward to it. The worst thing however is the lack of communication. I emailed through Amazon to complain and received a 'who cares' response with a suggestion I post the DVD to Canada at my own expense!? Canada?!? the company is called PassionFlix UK!! And in any case the postage would cost more than the DVD! I responded and have now sent several follow up emails and no response at all. Passionflix have no passion for actually providing their customers with any service at all - just for taking their cash and going quiet. I also never leave feedback without first providing an opportunity for a seller to put a situation right. I did explain that I would detail my experience for others on feedback - but no response. Use them at your peril. You have been warned!

I have a large collection of Region 1, 2 & 4 Standard Definition DVDs but it sounds like you just wanted this one film.

I have fond memories of watching The Water Babies as a child. I had no idea that this was even available!

This DVD is clearly listed as a REGION 1 USA IMPORT!!!

It's not meant to play on standard UK Region 2 DVD players!

Your existing player may have an unlock code it is worth a look Philips players tend to be pretty easy to make Region 0 but customer reviews for modern players are pretty mixed. You have to be careful.
