For new bands these days, it seems that they HAVE to make a big impression with their first album, or they will never sell a record. This was not the case with Travis, but despite the fact that they had to wait for a few singles from the excellent "The Man Who" to start selling before they were recognised, the debut album has been a sleeping giant that is finally getting the attention it deserves. OK, so it's not as emotionally charged nor as good as "The Man Who", but "Good Feeling" is an enjoyable piece of indie, and quite possibly the happiest album ever (even "Good Day To Die" can't spoil the mood). The opening three tracks get you in the mood, before winding down throughout the album, until the end where "More Than Us" suggests a hidden desire to write more material as featured on "The Man Who". Buy it, but not before you've bought "The Man Who".
