As I write, only 4 of 25 people found this old review helpful. I'm a bit late in commenting, but here are some reasons why this might be. You say "This book is really for beginners and people who do not know anything about design." Did you not notice that the title includes the words "for the Visual Novice"? You say "..I was looking not for a design quick fix which this book is but something would have been.." Did no-one teach you punctuation, use of tenses, or sentence construction? It's hard to take a less educated reviewer seriously when the subject is typography. To reinforce the point you end with two typos ( typographical errors) "..thought-provoking" is a hyphenated word, and "definitely" is misspelt as "definetely".
I bought this book. It was quite entertaining and very instructional. I don't think I was lucky. It just does exactly what it says on the cover.
