This review is from: Fodor's Around Paris with Kids (Travel Guide) (Paperback)
We took a week to 'do' Paris with the kids and this little book was amazing. Easy to flick through and nicely presented, it gives you many tips that parents need when exploring the City of Lights a'la pied! e.g. Where exactly do I hire the toy boats in the Jardin de Luxembourg?; what time is the puppet show?; Where shall we take them to eat?
We visited several places that we would not normally have approached, simply because the book made them seem more accessible. Excellent investment and nice size for your handbag/pram pocket.
Tip: If you are pushing a pram and are faced with a huge queue outside some of the larger museums and galleries. It is worth asking the security guards if it is ok for you to go straight though to the disabled/pre booked tickets queue. We were waved through without having to ask, having no idea that prams/small children were given special consideration. Makes sense of course, and is super considerate of Parisian museum authorities! :)
If you DO have to queue :) then the book has some little games at the back (of the I-Spy type) to keep the little ones entertained.
