Powerful but complex,

This webcam delivers excellent images once you can focus it on the object of interest.
There is a big but ... it is hugely complicated and will challenge your resolve - I have so far ( half a dozen sessions) managed a few half decent images of jupiter and the moon at the lowest resolution setting, but think it will be some time before I can get the best out of it ... I may even need to buy an electronic focusser for my telescope to get the best from it! But I will persevere as I have seen some very impressive results produced by more experienced users.

If you want to get good focus you should get a Bahtinov mask for your scope, they're great and only cost around £15-£20. Just google "Bahtinov mask".

Rather spookily I was only considering this yesterday ... have got as far as tasking myself to find out how to spell "Bahtinov" :-)
