Depends what you're looking for,
This review is from: Alpen Blueberry/ Cranberry/ Yoghurt Bars 29 g (Pack of 5) (Grocery)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
These bars are fairly low in calories for the size that you get; they are little over 120kcals for a 29g bar. Having said that, despite the muesli and fruit, don't be fooled into thinking these are choc full of healthy ingredients because they definitely have some hidden ingredients in there.
I like the yoghurt used on these types of product but I really did think there was too much of a solid layer along the bottom. This, coupled with the muesli made for a strange texture that wasn't too appealing, if I'm honest. The yoghurt also leaves a bit of an aftertaste which you probably wouldn't get if there was less of a yoghurt base.
It tastes typical of these types of bars, not hugely fresh but would give you a boost and a sweet bite if you incorporated as a mid-morning snack or as part of your lunch. This is where it really does depend on what you're looking for whether you will ultimately like these bars or not. If you're just looking for a snack that has the taste of oats, yoghurt and dried fruits then this could be for you. The taste of cranberries and blueberries comes through and the little pieces of fruits are quite tasty. However, if you're looking for a health bar then I would look somewhere else.
