Cut more times than shredded duck,
This review is from: Howard The Duck [DVD] (DVD)
I shan't be writting a long review on this film, mostly as the 16 other reviews point out the greatness that is Howard. The film is a great family comedy, and the special effects are great, especially if like me you grey up on animatronics, clay mation and men in suits-CGI pah! tacky and overhyped, used to cover up the lack of budget available.
I've only awarded 2 stars as this version of HTD is heavily cut. Where's the playduck centerfold, the scene in the love hotel when Howard gets a job?
Come on In2Film, this makes most of the first half of the film plot devoid-like a badly spliced collection of t.v clips. And with this day and ages releases of hardcore porn on t.v. and violent realistic films given 12 certs, the "risque" humour shouldn't have had any excuse to be censored.
By the video and relive the 80's!

The Uncut version, rated '12', released by 'Metrodome' is still available; a better option than the 80s VHS. (The cut 'In2Film' release to which the above reviewer refers is 52 seconds shorter, rated 'PG').
