Brilliant, wise, funny and true,
This review is from: The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking (Hardcover)
I happened to get my hands on an early copy of this amazing book. I am not a self-help book reader, but I was completely absorbed amd
convinced by the argument: basically, that to be happy you must stop frantically chasing happiness and embrace all the things that can go wrong in life. It's the first theory of happiness that has ever made sense to me, and - despite being a born pessimist - I have felt consistently happier since reading it. It's funny, wise, interesting and true, and I will be buying a copy of it for everyone for Christmas (if I manage not to tell them to read it beforehand). Definitely my Book of the Year.
