Not Murphy's best,

Years ago, I read and enjoyed Murphy's "Dance For A Diamond" and "Dance On Wild Ice" - quirky, fast-paced thrillers with an aviation interest.
More recently, I enjoyed his "Scream At The Sea" - an aviation thriller that positively ripped along, albeit at the expense of occasional implausibility.
But this one tends to lumber. More than half the book goes by while the hero prepares for action. And the action, when it comes, is unconvincing and disjointed.
