This review is from: Organic Chocolate with Rice Milk Vegan Organica Org 100 g (Pack of 3) (Grocery)
I bought this especially for my grand-daughter to give her mum on mothers day. I was very careful in what i selected as my grand-daughter is dairy allergic and it causes her to go into anaphylactic shock. This product stated it was organic made with rice milk and suitable for vegans which should mean its totally dairy free! great i thought ill post it to my grand daughter and she can share it with her mum as she has to go without so much. Being extra careful i rang my daughter told her id found this wonderful vegan chocolate they could share but just to check it. Lucky she did it was produced in a factory that handled MILK!!!!! could have been life threatening . never again will i buy from this site vegan should mean totally no dairy! very unhappy grandma

Ms. Sc Jones says:
Well, to be fair, it does say this on the label, which is pictured at the top of the page, so you could have read it before purchasing.

HOWEVER, I'm actually very grateful for the heads-up, as I don't think it would have occurred to me to check, since it says it's vegan! I have 3 different types of vegan chocolate in my cupboard right now, I just checked them and they are all completely dairy-free, exactly what I would have expected from a vegan product. So I don't think anyone would/should necessarily have expected this at all :( I doubt most vegans would be happy with that, and since I'm lactose-intolerant it certainly is a no-no for me :(

I'm still looking for my 'perfect' milk-free chocolate, the ones I have in at the moment are Moo-free, Tesco's Free From, and Conscious, maybe this will help you find something your grand-daughter will like :)

Best wishes x

Ruth says:
Try Kinnerton dark choc* Ms Jones, is dairy free, suitable for both kids n adults as fairly sweet but not too much. For a less sweet taste, one stocked by some Waitroses is Willies Cacao in smallish square boxes, 3 slightly different types ie Venezualan, Madagascan, Indonesian. None caused me any probs and I have a gut which reacts violently to dairy. *Is sold on this site by Amazon UK and no, I'm nothing to do with them!! :)
