This review is from: Who Moved the Stone? (Paperback)
I first read this book when I was about 15 and loved it, so when I saw it again I really wanted to read it. Unfortunately it did not have the same impact on me this time round. Obviously the book hasn't changed so it must be me. I found it rather tedious in parts even though the subject matter should be one of the most fascinating possible. I felt that the writer made some sweeping conclusions and presented them as fact. The biggest disappointment to me was, I still don't know who moved the stone....did I miss something ?

Geronimo says:
"There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men." Matthew 28:2-4.

I'm planning on reading the book again soon, having first read it a few years ago. I found the book very helpful in reconciling some differences in the gospel accounts, which I believe was the author's main purpose. After all, if all four accounts were exactly the same they'd be charged with plagiarism. I wonder if I'll experience the book the way I did when I first read it, or if my experience will be similar to yours.

It will be interesting to see if you will experience it a bit differently, I would guess it's possible as we all change along the way !
