Reliable but very slow, 4 July 2011

Have used mine in two contemporary Apple Macs (a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini) and its r/w performance is very very slow (have tried two of these products, with similar results). I don't know for sure that this is a problem with the general Mac SDHC firmware or hardware, but some 16GB SDHC cards I have work absolutely fine. Performance for normal operations is unacceptable but for what I wanted it for (a Time Machine back-up disk for the Mac Mini) it is only just about acceptable. Maybe other Mac users have had better luck or similar results: I'd be interested to hear what they had to say via some Comments to this review.

** UPDATE JULY 22nd ** After upgrading to OS-X Lion, the back-up process now takes a half or a third of the time. Still slow but a lot more tolerable. Have increased my rating by a star.
