This review is from: A 1950s Childhood: From Tin Baths to Bread and Dripping (Kindle Edition)
I enjoyed this book overall. It went into quite a lot of detail about life in the fifties which, of being a similar age, l could empathise with.
I would have liked Paul to have enlarged upon his own experiences more, and compared life then, to life now, for children in the twenty first century.
The amount of historical detail and dates given show how much research he must have carried out, whilst compiling this book.
