Good price, great quality,
This review is from: Creative Inspire T3130 Speaker System (Electronics)
I wanted some new speakers for laptop, as my inhouse speakers were starting to fade and crackle. I was originally going to settle on the Logitech x210 speakers which my friend has and which I really liked. As all friends do, I wanted to get one better than his. After looking at the logitech brands the z323 and z523 were said to be very poor and for the price, not worth it. With my student budget the better Logitech ones were way out of my price range.
The Logitech Z205 was also another choice, but I rarely take my laptop anywhere so that was out of the question. Also the Z205 was said to be very poor when you increase the volume.
After an hour of trawling through various review sites I settled for the Creative speakers. For their price and specifications they were really good. I only needed speakers for my room, not to destroy the house with them.
After ordering them they came the next day via First class royal mail which was surprising! After unboxing them the setup was really easy. All you had to do was plug in the bass box to the mains, plug in the speaker cable to the bass box and then plug in the jack lead into any device: laptop headphone socket, iPod, zen, even walkman!
Anther nifty little feature is that it has a little volume control which you can place anywhere. The cable lengths arn't too stingy as well and will easily reach from the back of a Pc to the front.
The bass box itself also has a bass volume and it does NOT dissapoint! For it's size and price it really packs a punch and with the bass volume turned up and the volume on low, you can feel the bass pumping out.
when I tested it to its limits, (bass max, volume max) there is hardly any distortion at all and it also makes the floor rumble which is quite epic.
If you're on a student limit, or don't even know how to setup speakers or want something that pumps bass out insanely, this is the choice for you. if, of course you have a little more to spend, go for the T6160. Last checked, Amazon has them at £51 and at that price I'm starting to think I should have gone for those.

Dr. S. A. Morrison says:
I was wondering is there a way to connect the speakers into a HiFi, with the separate wires and Sub-woofer plug (Like in the bottom left of http://tinyurl.com/HiFi-123)? It would be a lot better than plugging it into the headphone jack.
