Great, but oddly underwhelmed,
This review is from: Logitech MX Wireless Performance Mouse (Tracks on Glass) (Electronics)
I am very happy with the Performance MX, it's a great mouse in most areas, but the inevitable comparisons to it's predecessor aren't always favourable.
The mouse is very comfortable to any other mouse out there now, the side clicking feature for the scroll wheel is so unbelievably useful, especially paired with application specific shortcuts (eg, in Chrome I have it set to change tabs).
The friction free scroll wheel is still excellent, though compared to the Revolution it feels like a cheaper imitation as it doesn't change modes on the fly like the Revolution did.
The "thumb button" is very useful and a great addition, and whilst many don't like the lack of "flicker wheel" I have found I've grown very used to the zoom button, but I can completely understand many others.
The charging solution is massively improved as the previous cradle approach was one of the things that broke on my old Revolution, the microUSB cable is much better.
So while this is a great mouse, I really wish it had the auto-change between scroll wheel modes like the Revolution, it hasn't been a definite step forward, more like a few forward and a few back.
