Not about evolution,
This review is from: The Human Story: Where We Come from and How We Evolved (Paperback)
I was a little disappointed with the book. I was expecting more advanced discussion about the forces of evolution in the history of mankind. It is more a description of various humanoids. The text is at the level of a junior high school student. Moreover, there is a tendency to reason the increased use of tools for the will of more meat. I dont think this is right. The reason to use tools would be the competition / fight between the humanoids. Even today the most advanced technology starts with the military research and then applied to daily life.

I haven't read this book, but your review seems to be heavily influenced by your own personal assumptions and biases, e.g. that competition / fighting between hominids / hominins (not humanoids) is the driving force behind tool use - says who??
