It's not fair for me to review a Moody Blues album.......,
This review is from: Seventh Sojourn (Audio CD)
...but I was moved so to do by the comment of one of the other reviewers who said "I know it's not cool to like The Moody Blues". Cool ? So what. The Moody Blues are a very special Band. I was very fortunate to pick them up in 1969 - my first ever record purchase was On the Threshold of a Dream. I've seen them countless times in concert, and have all their albums on both vinyl (except the couple that never appeared in that form) and CD. I don't have a favourite album. And I have never been disappointed by any track, never mind album. Is this the best of their albums ? Some say it is. I don't. I simply don't have a favourite. And to those who think it isn't cool to like The Moody Blues, maybe you're right. I never listened to them to be cool. I just listened, and listen, to them to be moved, entertained. They were, and remain, special. And I'm looking forward to seeing them again in September 2008. Whichever album you're looking at, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

Mrs. J. A. Davis says:
I always loved the Moody Blues, everything they did was so different to other music back in the late 60's early 70's. Everyone raved about Pink Floyd back then but to my mind the Moody Blues are far more 'for the people' down to earth and playing such haunting music, so beautiful some of them make my eyes mist over. Not cool to like the Moody's?? I LOVE THEM so go out and listen for yourself you might just catch the dream if you are on their wavelength

And they are still touring and sounding just brilliant even on a smll stage like Ipswich Regent where we have seen them twice.

Nice review. What does "cool" actually mean anyway?.. Should we abandon certain music that we love because someone has deemed it uncool?.. I say always be true to yourself - if you like something be proud of it, it's part of you - your personality. To be honest, I've never bothered about what others might think of what I like - life's too short to worry about such nonsense. "Cool" or not, nothing will ever prevent me from enjoying this beautiful album!
