DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!,
This review is from: The Way of Kings Part Two (The Stormlight Archive Book One) (Paperback)
This is not a book review but a warning. I have read this author's previous work so bought The Way of Kings & TWoK book2 at the same time. Only to discover I had bought the whole of the book and a separate book comprising of the 2nd half of the book also. I wrongly assumed that book 2 was a follow on book, it is not. I accept I have made a dumb mistake and the cost is minimal but, i hope this prevents anyone else repeating it. In short buy part 1 and part 2 collectively or the whole book independantly.
(The book is fab though and well worth the extra regardless, another triumph by Mr Sanderson)

M. Steel says:
I already had the way of kings from when it was released last year - I've really been looking forward to the next installment. I remember reading about how the publisher would not release it in one volume, and after reading the 1000-page book (that I thought was part one) I was not surprised! So I eagerly started reading part 2, to be filled with a sense of alarm and disappointment.
Like the review says, if you only have part one you need this - but if you have book 1 DO NOT buy this, because you read it already.
Clue: is there a part number on the cover?

Jury's out on that Sean, to be fair if you read the reviews etc. and look at the price differential I still accept I made a dumb mistake and do not personally hold Amazon responsible. The years i have used Amazon the service has been superb. The point I was trying to make was to prevent the same mistake being made by other readers. Nonentheless still am happy to have put a few extra coppers in the author's pocket, because this work is REALLY worth it.

Oh no! I wish iread your 'review' prior to getting excited and buying this thinking part 2 was out early! I have done the same thing!
They really should make this more clear- the publishers that is. My long commute was to be so good, and now I will be staring out of the window wondering whether I can get refunded!

Mr. A. N. Goodchild says:
I nearly made the same mistake, and only realised when reading the back of the book in a store. I'd asked for it for my birthday and had to phone up the person buying it to cancel, so this is an easy mistake to make.
Also I agree about the book being excellent.

The North American edition is just 1 fat book....no confusion. Weird the UK would do it differently.
