Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I already have a few TP Link Powerline adaptors dotted around the house, but in the lounge there is a problem with all my equipment jostling around yelling out for an Ethernet connection.
Powerline adaptors are used if you need to have Ethernet cables in a room that doesn't contain your router/modem. They work through the mains, sending an Internet signal through the wires.
In the past I used a single powerline adaptor linked to a 5 port hub, but I always needed to have a socket for both and turn on the hub when I needed to use it. Now I can plug one of these in and already have 3 Ethernet connections from a single plug.
As with other TP Link adaptors I've used, these take a few seconds and a few button presses to get working, they're so easy to use. They even seem to work fine in several extension plugs without any loss of speed. Although 200Mbps (100Mbps each way, but realistically less in real world speeds) rather than the faster 500Mbps, the speed is certainly enough to stream HD content from a NAS drive to the TV or use any of the streaming TV services. For those who have 100Mbps+ Fibre you might want to pay a little more for the faster ones, but these will do fine for everyone else.
So, yet another success from TP Link and another happy customer.
