144MHZ gaming and split second response times,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Asus VG248QE 24-inch 3D LED Monitor - Black (1920x1080, 80000000:1, 144 Hz, 1ms, DVI Display Port, HDMI) (Accessory)
Fast 144 mhz refresh rate, check with some games though as it may not be officially supported for example call of duty ghosts had issues to start with. Split second response times. This monitor is built for FPS's not dragging of panes or display lag, this is great for Counter Strike, Battlefield and all other multiplayer FPS's.
Now the bad points. washed out colours and takes a long time to calibrate even with the icc colour profiles. 1080P (although personal preference) isn't great for some games where preference is resolution over refresh rate.
On a final note this monitor can be modded with Nvidia's up and coming gsync cards so if you can get this for a bargain price go for it. Having said that if you are not a modder wait for the gsync version to appear which is either out or imminent.
My personal advice is to go to a gaming shop first and test a 144mhz monitor out first hand, they are like Marmite. If you are still not convinced further advice is to hold on for higher resolution gsync monitor which are on the horizon and will be the ultimate gaming experience.
