So fun... if a little easy!,

This review is from: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (PS2) (Video Game)
...And we waited SO long to play the latest Tomb Raider game only to be disappointed at how contrived and action-oriented the game had become.!This is the new Tomb raider! If you're a fan of desolate, trap-riddled caverns and tombs combined with an original story and entertaining characters then you'll be right at home with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
Fooled into releasing the sands of time, an evil plague that turns the inhabitants of the king's kingdom into demons, our hero must set out on a huge adventure armed only with a sword, an array of mind-bogglingly gravity-defying stunts and a beautiful princess to undo his mistake and return the kingdom to peace.
The pace of the game is generally fast with no back-tracking and very little confusion. There are enough secrets (hidden areas rewarding health increments and even hidden rooms unlocking the original Prince of Persia game) to keep the most thorough of gamers happy and the eastern-metal soundtrack really gives this game an original atmosphere. This game is pure fun and gave me a full week's enjoyment. The only drawback was that I felt that once you have mastered the combat (which is frustrating at times) the game doesn't ever really get harder. This is epitomised by the final boss who was easier than most of the standard demons in the game...
This is only a small drawback in a game that offers a wide variety of activities, challenges and above all, is so much fun it should be banned. Enjoy.
