New Keyshia - could have been stronger,

Nice enough album but falls in to the trap of having a few strong tracks and the rest are fillers. Mixed bag of uptempo tracks and ballads. The production on some of the tracks is poor - sounds like they got most the album done and then ran out of money!. I think Mary J's crown is safe for now !

If you liked Keyshia's debut 'The Way It Is' then you're sure to like this one because it is a million times better. Keyshia's superb vocals are carefully laid on beautiful melodies. 'Falling Out' is just one of those catchy midtempo tunes. 'I Remember' is reminiscent of the heartbreak theme that Keyshia is an expert in articulating, thanks to her raspy, smoothy, mezzo-soprano vocals. Darkchild lends his production skills with the up-tempo 'Shoulda Let You Go' which is rap-assisted by Amina. It is easy to not to forget the infectious 'Sent From Heaven', which is just a masterpiece!!! All in all 'Just Like You' is a refreshing album, which proves that; of all the female R&B artsites who emerged post 2000 era Keyshia Cole stands out, all because of her remarkable vocals and her ability to exploit them to the very best of her ability.
