Firstly, I'd like to say that like most people, I was enticed into buying this title by the ads on tv. It reminded me a lot of Borderlands (which incidentally is one of my favourite games) and I was really looking forward to playing a similar game with an improved driving element.
The game play is good - the enemies are fairly clever and challenging and the RPG element (crafting weapons such as turrets and drones) creates interesting and amusing ways of dealing with them. The driving element of the game is a lot of fun as well, especially the races and car modification system. I will say that the developer has concentrated on both aspects leaving them both unpolished, but overall the game is very entertaining even if it doesn't do anything new and is a little short.
I do have one major gripe about the game though: the sound has been awful. In every cut scene the sound/music cuts in and out like a broken record and the lip sync when people talk is simply abominable. It really disappointed me and has taken my rating down. Similarly the graphic smoothing can be a little off and seem to take some time to load.
In summary, I'm pleased I got the game although I only paid around £20 for it. Had I bought it at it's full price, I probably wouldn't be particularly pleased with the quality.
