This review is from: The White Queen [DVD] (DVD)
Although a drama series the whole series is clearly based upon a reasonably accurate summary of the unfolding events. Nobody at the time seems to have accused Richard of any complicity in the disappearance of the Princes in the Tower and this subject is avoided in the drama.
There were a couple of points not covered in the series though. Although Richard, as Regent, may well have guided his nephew Edward V, and even possibly hoped to retire to York, he must have realised at an early stage that the Woodville indoctrinated Edward would sooner or later turn on him. His future actions then become at least politically understandable.
I still remain unclear just why at the last moment did Stanley declare for Henry though.
