Great coffee, small gadget,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I think the key feature of the Aeropress is that you can easily use not-quite-boiling water to make smooth coffee and reduce bitterness/harshness.
We used to have a filter coffee machine, and before that a manual drip filter and cafetière. The coffee from the Aeropress is much smoother, and the filter papers so fine that you don't get the sludge that you often get from a cafetière. It is quite and easy to use, and quick and easy to clean up.
The tote bag didn't come with mine because they were out, and I believe they offered me a small refund.
Although I like reasonably strong coffee, the instructions called for using a ridiculous amount of ground coffee per espresso cup, and the scoop that comes with it is huge. We now use the same amount of ground coffee that we used to use with our filter machine (about a tablespoon per small cup) and that seems about right.
