A great novel but a cheap cash-in on Kindle,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Armageddon: The Musical (Armageddon Trilogy Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
I am a massive fan of Rankin but have a rather spotty collection, as I was lucky enough to have a local library that stocked many of his books. Having bought a Kindle recently I decided to go on a Rankin binge, and this being the first book of his I ever read, I duly bought it.
It's still a good book as I remembered, but didn't hold up so well to a second reading - the increasingly legendary Brentford trilogy holds up much better in this regard, I feel.
Sadly my enjoyment of the novel was frequently marred by the veritably cornucopia of typographical errors in the Kindle edition. I cannot believe that a book with so many mistakes was considered ready for publication - indeed, it would be hard to believe that anyone even read it before releasing it.
