Sometimes it worked OK but sometimes devicewere not recognised although they were onother occasions. Not recommended at all -try something else as a hub.

Based on your description, a defective USB 3.0 cable or a hub could be a reason. Meanwhile, it is strongly recommended to update the driver and firmware for your USB 3.0 host controller to the latest version, for which you may contact your PC supplier. This ensures a smooth and reliable experience when using any USB based device (either 2.0 or 3.0) with the USB 3.0 host controller.
