Problems with video,
This review is from: Toshiba DVR20 Digital DVD Recorder and VCR with Freeview (New for 2013) (Electronics)
I bought the Toshiba DVR20 in September 2010. It worked perfectly well for 11 months but in August 2011 the video stopped working. Each time you tried to play or record a video it would switch off the whole machine. The DVD part continued to work with no problems. I returned this item and received a replacement within a few days. This worked perfectly well again until yesterday when exactly the same problem occurred with the video. Although Toshiba is usually good, I would not recommend this particular model. I have now decided to buy a Panasonic instead.

I hope you get on better with Panasonic. I have a combination Panasonic and it has been nothing but trouble and I would not recommend it is not a patch on my old Panasonic which lasted for years. This one is about 18 months old and I am thoroughly fed up with it.

Can you recommend any decent video/DVD transfer machine? I have had my Toshiba DVR20 for a week now. The sound when I play tapes is dreadful and now every time I play a tape it switches itself off. The same happened with my old video/DVD transfer of the same model, although that lasted two years rather than just a week.
